How To Take Care Of Your Kidneys And Bladder

Every three days you should give your kidneys some rest and avoid irritating foods. At the same time, it is advisable to consume more raw vegetables and vegetable juices.

This is how you care for your kidneys and bladder

The kidneys and bladder  are important organs in our body that are not only responsible for the urinary tract system, but also form part of the lymphatic system, since together with the liver they remove pollutants and waste products that are in our cells.

We must not forget how susceptible we are to external and internal pollutants every day: Not only do toxins from food (pesticides and environmental toxins) get into our blood,  harmful substances can also be released through stress and anxiety.

The kidneys and liver are crucial in the fight against pollutants. The bladder also plays an important role: Its job is to collect the urine and then to drain it out. It should be cared for and protected to avoid common infections.

Typical kidney and bladder problems

  • Problems controlling the bladder: incontinence or problems holding back urine
  • Infections
  • Difficulty filtering blood
  • Changes in the bladder wall (it can no longer hold as much urine as before)
  • Blocked urethra

When should I see a doctor?

  • In case of signs of urinary tract infection
  • When we have a fever, chills, vomiting, and extreme fatigue.
  • If we constantly feel the urge to urinate.
  • When we feel pain when urinating.

Tips on kidney and bladder care

Our diet is very important, so we will give you various tips that you should follow for kidney and bladder care. If you have ailments or as a preventive measure, you may want to change your diet accordingly.

Bladder and kidney cleansing every three days

If we give our kidneys a break every three days, we can increase their lifespan and keep them functioning properly. We can also protect the health of our bladder in this way.

How do you do that? Quite simply, by eliminating the following foods from your eating plan every three days:

  • coffee
  • alcohol
  • Sugared and carbonated drinks
  • Foods that are very rich in protein
  • salt

With these foods, our kidneys have to work twice as much.

Recommended juices

  • Cranberry juice, as it has antioxidant properties and can protect the urinary tract. It prevents bacteria from attaching to the bladder wall, which is very important for these organs. The juice cleanses us from the inside and should be taken daily.
  • In addition to being delicious and refreshing, carrot juice  is also ideal for purifying the blood, which makes the work of the kidneys easier.

Carrot juice
  • Grape juice is a great source of minerals that help us reduce uric acid and keep our heartbeat balanced.

Recommended vegetables

One thing we should be aware of in any case: Eating raw fruits and vegetables is essential.

vegetables

The reason? They provide us with living enzymes that are lost during cooking. The enzymes have a fundamental role in the cleansing process of our organism. We therefore recommend that you consume fruits and vegetables raw whenever possible. Below are some of the vegetables that are particularly good for the bladder and kidneys:

  • Asparagus: Contains many diuretic agents and stimulates our kidney function by excreting toxins and stimulating the excretion of urine.
  • Spinach: is rich in minerals, makes us detox better and helps us cleanse the kidneys.
  • Celery:  Perfect for salads or as an infusion. It has a dehydrating effect and is rich in minerals.
  • Beetroot as it effectively detoxifies the kidneys.
  • White beans are also great for the kidneys.

Herbs for the bladder and kidneys

  • Nettle and dandelion: Are diuretics that cleanse the kidneys and help eliminate uric acid.
  • Parsley:  No matter how we consume it, whether raw or as an infusion – this herb cleanses the kidneys intensively. For example, we can boil a handful of parsley in two liters of water for ten minutes. We let the mixture steep, sift it and let it cool in the refrigerator. The drink should be used within five days, after which you can take a week off and then take the detox drink again for five days. In this way, you can also rid the kidneys of traces of salt.

It is obvious that the health of our kidneys and bladder depends largely on our diet.

We should therefore avoid high-fat foods, but also too much salt, alcohol and sweets, as these ensure that our kidneys can no longer carry out their filtering tasks. This can lead to kidney stones and heart problems.

Since we are responsible for our own quality of life, we should pay particular attention to our diet. If you also do some sport every day, take a more relaxed approach to difficult situations or a hectic everyday life and thus avoid stress, you will notice that it is more than worth it.
